My Droid

At the TED conference two weeks ago, Google set up a station where you could create your own Android on a t-shirt.  This is right up my alley!  You could stretch and contort your "droid", add clothes, shoes, accessories, change the hair and skin color.  Needless to say I spent a lot of time getting the proportions just right for my droid.  I picked a little black dress, because you can make any outfit fabulous with the proper accessories.

One of my favorite TED moments was when the woman making her droid next to me, leaned over to ask my opinion on what necklace went best with her ripped jeans, and t-shirt?  The pearl necklace, the multi strand chains?  She must have sensed my keen attention to detail and the fact that my larger than life badge said "Jewelry Designer" after it!

After the LBD, I went straight for the jewelry.  I picked  little heart on a chain that is just enough but not overpowering, probably about 30" in droid proportions.  The shoes were a no-brianer.  There was a pair of low booties with red soles.  (Need I say more?)  You could also pick a variety of things your droid could hold, too.  A glass of wine, an umbrella, a pipe, a cup of coffee.    But what I got stumped on was I was my droid was not as adept at holding multiple items at one time, so I had to chose between the glass of red wine, and a cute black clutch.  I went with the clutch, because I could alway put droid money into my droid clutch to buy a glass a wine if I needed to.

The moral of the story is:  LBD, fabulous shoes, handbag and the perfect piece of jewelry, and you are ready for anything!
